VISHNUSAHASRANAMA RECITATION and BHAGAVAD GITA CHANTING

Vishnusahasranama Recitation On Sunday, February 1, 2026, the CBSE Sanskrit Department organized Vishnu Sahasranama recitation, Bhagavad Gita chanting , and Dance program for students at the Guruvayur Temple . Inaugurated by Chennas Dineshan Nampoothirippad , Thantri of Guruvayur Temple. More than a hundred students participated in the event, which was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The program was coordinated by Sundari P. V, Sukitha M, Athira K, Akhila, and SoumyaVishnusahasranama and Bhagavad Gita Recitation Good For Enhanced Memory & Concentration: Scientific studies on the “Sanskrit Effect” indicate that the rhythmic, phonetic nature of chanting increases grey matter density in brain regions associated with memory and attention. Regular practice has been shown to improve both spatial and verbal memory scores in students.Improved Academic Focus : Chanting trains the brain to maintain single-pointed focus by engaging auditory-motor circuits. This practice helps students reduce “mental fog” and distractions, making it easier to complete academic tasks.Language & Speech Clarity: The complex phonetic structure of Sanskrit helps students improve their pronunciation, vocabulary, and verbal skills.
